Job Description/Essential Functions:

Horizon House, a non-profit organization, has been widely recognized for its services as a provider of community-based behavioral health, intellectual disabled and homeless services in Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware. Each year, Horizon House provides a continuum of services at over 100 sites to over 4,5000 adults with psychiatric or developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol addictions, and/or homelessness. A pioneer in the field of community-based rehabilitation, Horizon House is widely recognized for its innovative approach to the delivery of services in a community setting. Currently, we are seeking full time Electronic Health Records(EHR) Representative to work in our Information  Technology Department.

This position will be one of our central points of contact to clinical computer users for technical support and assistance.

Some of the duties are:

  • Investigate and resolve problems with computer software and Credible Electronic Health Records (EHR) by telephone, computer and in person.
  • Training users on proper use of the EHR system and how to log issues properly. The training will take place in groups and individually.
Job Qualifications:

A successful applicant will have the following:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field strongly preferred. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience clearly relevant to the position may be considered.
  •  Demonstrated skills in using EMR systems and the ability to teach proper use and application of EMR system are preferred, as is experience in the following software: Credible, CMHC, word processors and spreadsheets.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must display strong communication skills both verbal and written. Able to speak in front of a group of people.
  • Work independently or part of a team. 
  • Analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to met deadlines and multitask.
  • Able to drive to any of our locations for training with a valid driver's license.

Scope:

  • Required sitting for long periods of time.
  • Light lifting and/or carrying, not to exceed 25 lbs.
  • Frequent talking and listening.
  • Manual dexterity.
