Job Description/Essential Functions:

Horizon House, a non-profit organization, has been widely recognized for its services as a provider of community-based behavioral health, intellectual disabled and homeless services in Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware. Each year, Horizon House provides a continuum of services at over 100 sites to over 4,5000 adults with psychiatric or developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol addictions, and/or homelessness. A pioneer in the field of community-based rehabilitation, Horizon House is widely recognized for its innovative approach to the delivery of services in a community setting. Currently, we are seeking full time Electronic Health Records(EHR) Applications Analyst to work in our Information Technology Department.

This position will be one of our central points of contact to program, design and ensure the EHR applications.

Some of the duties are:

  • To program EHR application or conduct system administration, ensuring applications meet all system requirements.
  • Diagnose problems with the application, design solutions, and ensure their implementation (Including executing application design and build, application support, documentation and communication, and project management).
  • Performing in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with application software and prepares details of specifications as needed. 
  • Participating in unit, application, and integrated testing for system functionality. 
  • Develops content and documentation tools for implementing systems changes and other tasks and provides input for training materials. 
  • Training users on proper use of the EHR system and how to log issues properly. The training will take place in groups and individually.
Job Qualifications:

A successful applicant will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) or an equivalent combination of education and training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
  • At least 2 years of compliance/claims experience in the Behavioral Health field
  • Proficient in computer applications (including MS Office).
  • Knowledge of statistics, data collection, analysis and data presentation.
  • Familiarity with compliance review processes.
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team. 
  • Must display strong communication skills both verbal and written. Able to speak in front of a group of people.
  • Analytical and exercise problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to meet deadlines and multitask.
  • Able to drive to any of our locations for training with a valid driver's license.

Scope:

  • Required sitting for long periods of time.
  • Light lifting and/or carrying, not to exceed 25 lbs.
  • Frequent talking and listening.
  • Manual dexterity.
